Daring Painter, Painting on the Wind is dedicated to Ciara McGuire, a friend and fellow master’s student at the Eastman School of Music. Ciara generously commissioned the piece for her final degree recital at Eastman, and I could not have been more thrilled at the opportunity to write it for such a versatile, sensitive, and virtuosic performer.
